Julee Snyder

Julee was a teenager at the NC Governor’s School when her flute teacher had her get into strange positions, like child’s pose, to feel her breath.  It was the first time anyone had demanded that she become conscious of her embodied self.  Her teacher introduced her to breath, posture, awareness and meditation techniques.

Twenty -some years later, Julee now offers similar techniques to her clients. She is a licensed massage therapist specializing in medical massage, craniosacral therapy, and visceral manipulation.  She is a master EmbodiYoga teacher specializing in gentle and restorative yoga, yoga anatomy, and adapting yoga for special needs.  She also teaches pilates specializing in therapeutic approaches for individual needs. Julee is also a Practitioner of Body-Mind Centering, a 1000-hour training in embodied anatomy and developmental movement.

Julee is the Director of Therapeutic Programming at Evolve. She is also the Director of the EmbodiYoga 200-hour Yoga Teacher Training and offers her own trainings in Gentle and Restorative Yoga.

Julee combines her full skillset at Evolve to offer Evolved Movement sessions and Medical Massage.
